IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT! "One screening only - this film may not be seen publicly again for sometime." Join us for an intimate evening exploring the history, creativity and continuing legacy of Black theatre in Britain through film and live performance. The evening begins with a welcome and a short improvised community piece, followed by a screening of Margins to Mainstream: The Story of Black Theatre in Britain (2012). Produced by the Octavia Foundation and Nu Century Arts, with Heritage Lottery Fund support, this youth-produced documentary celebrates the contributions of Black actors, playwrights and producers to British theatre. Following a short interval, singer Bonnyphile and guitarist Dotan Cohen join us for live music, alongside poetry, performance and conversation.
